Nick and Karen. Wedding and Balloons, part deux.
Nick and Karen rock. So when they had a really, really nice wedding, it was no surprise. They live in California these days, but they’re from down Boston way. We shot their engagement shoot when they were in town in July, and we brought lots of balloons. Karen loves balloons so when Nick proposed to her, he filled their apartment with 1000 balloons. STOP IT! Romantic dudes rock.
So, ya. Here it is. Their wedding at The Omni Parker House in Boston on a cold and snowy January 2nd, 2010.
enjoy. thank you.
The leading man d'jour. Nick.
Our leading lady, Karen, getting dressed.
It hurts a little, doesn't it? Perfectly gorgeous on her wedding day. Bliss.
this is chock full of awesome.
cue balloon. cue omni parker house. cue good looking couple. cue us loving our job.
cue all the stuff I just cued, but sub flowers for balloon.
Right before the aisle. Don't you love how differently everyone acts in this moment? I love, love, love this moment in life. Kindof chokes me up, actually.
pain. i have a pain from all this elegance and pretty.
ok, ok, ok...so Nick and Karen wrote their own vows. They were (gulp) so tender, so sweet, so authentic, and full of so much love. I was straight-up double-pump bawling.
So, Ben never cries at weddings. Maybe it's because dudes don't really cry at weddings. Maybe it's because Ben's heart is made of stone. Either way, Ben admits he got pretty close to choked up during Karen's vows. She thanked Nick for always vacuuming in her vows. It was just so incredibly sweet, he couldn't handle it.
oh, what? you want the ring exchange? there ya go.
CUTIES!!! The little blonde in the rear will be highly featured in this post. You've been warned. If you're not in the mood to fall in love with a Small, you might want to leave now.
Nick dancing with his mom while Karen (and Ben) watch.
Iphones are surely the most expensive kids toy ever.
Bouquet toss. Bouquet catchers.
You are watching the Small, right?
i mean.... what? How can I live in a village full of this kid?
stop. just stop it.
And to all a good night.
