hhhmmm, where do I start with the gushing on this one? These are the moments when I’m really regretting the hyperbolic way in which I express *everything*. I am The Girl Who Cried Wolf-tastic.
OK, so Pam and Chris are our good friends. They’re a part of our lives, they’ll be in our lives forever, their friends are our friends. The only thing different about this friendship is that we met them in my back bedroom in a meeting about photographing their wedding. And who cares, right? The friendship is real and deep and forever. Who cares how it started.
We on the same page? Everyone get that we’re big fans of Pam and Chris? Cool. God knows I hate to express myself passionately about things I like. Remember they invited us to their bachelor/bachelorette party in Stowe, Vermont? It’s right HERE if you missed it.
Pam and Chris were married on May 14th at the hotel that put the Fancy in Fancy Pants, The Mandarin Oriental in Boston. This party rocked. Since we went to their bachelor weekend, we felt like we were great friends with at least 20 people there. Ben got to actually be friends with the girl he spilled a tray of champagne on. (heh heh heh). I don’t even know where to start about this wedding. Pam looked insanely gorgeous. Chris is the cutest man alive. They both gave us a full 40-60 minutes to photograph them (hint hint). Their ceremony was like 7 minutes long and their party went all night. Kahootz was their band. Have you seen the lead singer of Kahootz in this video? Ben and I are in love. Chris and Pam are the two coolest people anyone knows, they’re madly in love, they’re fun as hell, they love to party, they celebrated exactly like they should have. Everything was so perfect. We were done shooting at 11pm and we left at 1:00. I think that sortof says it all.
Pam and Chris, c’mon now. My heart is exploding for you two. You’re both artists so you knew what we needed to get the photographs we all wanted. You worked with us, you let us be us (ok, I mean you let me be me), you love us for all that we are and all that we’re not. You invited us into your lives without hesitation. Do you have any idea what that means to us? How much the love you have for each other inspires both of us to go out and find some a dat for ourselves? You have no idea how grateful we are to both of you, to be treated like friends from the moment we met. Your grace and kindness and love will feed us for some time to come. All of our love to you in Boulder. You remain in our hearts for the rest of our lives.
Awwww sheeeeeit, now let’s get a looksy at some damn photographs, shall we?!?!?
