For the last three weeks since we’ve returned from Jamaica, I have almost dreaded writing this blog post because there are literally no words that will describe the trip. Max and I are quite possibly the luckiest bastards out there to land this gig. To say it was the highlight of our month/year/whole damn career doesn’t even cut it. We spent 5 days in Jamaica with a couple that will inevitably be a favorite for the next gazillion years, their amazing warm and generous families, and their friends who we miss as if we’ve known them for a lifetime. Five days of shooting, and 10,000 pictures later, there wasn’t one second of the entire trip that we felt like we were working.
Holly and Scene are the kind of people that have no trouble getting 60 people to travel 2000 miles for their wedding. They are fun, kind, generous, warm, hilarious, smart, caring, and DROP dead gorgeous. It’s impossible not to feel welcome, comfortable, and happy in their presence. Throw in some reggae, red stripe, and a few pina coladas, and you’re havin’ the time of your life. take my word for it. They were married at the Grand Palladium Resort just outside of Montego Bay. The ceremony was at a gazebo on a cliff set between two coves. It’s actually better than the mental image you have right now. Their party was top 3 most fun I’ve had at a wedding, and I was sober. The whole trip was full of love, coconuts, dancing, family, koaling, the wobble, great friends, the beach, red stripe, happiness, and sunsets.
To the Govy’s, and every other person that was there… we love each and every one of you. We are beyond honored to document the week for you. We miss you all, and can’t wait to see you again soon. xoxoxoxoxoxooxoxoxooxoxox. love.
